Rapper Chief Keef’s 19-year-old stepbrother was killed in a Chicago shooting. He is the latest victim in a city that is dealing with a serious homocide epidemic.
Ulyesses Gissendanner (pictured) of Chicago was hit by a bullet in the back of the head on the city’s Far South Side on January 2nd. Gissendanner (who is an aspiring rapper) was killed in a vehicle near 124th Street and South Ave. He was visiting his uncle in the West Pullman neighborhood. He was pronounced dead later after the shooting at Roseland Hospital.
Gissendanner’s rapping stage name was YPN Boomtown. He is related to Chief Keef through his father’s marrigage to another woman. Chief Keef’s father’s name is Alfonso Cozart.
Chief Keef’s father says he doesn’t communicate with his son but he fears for his well-being in the wake of Gissendanner’s killing. “As a caring father, who wouldn’t worry about that?” Cozart asked. “I do want my son to have success and have a long, positive life, and I hope the best for him.” (All Hip Hop News)
Cozart also said that he doesn’t want Chief Keef’s notoriety to eclipse the death of his stepson. “He just graduated high school, and was in college and had a job. He was a positive person,” Cozart said. “I’m not trying to get publicity of Chief Keef being my son. I want you to focus on Ulysses. He’s the one that’s gone.” (All Hip Hop News)
